Bronze Hanger Brackets

“The Machinist” has been busy again at SWP, he has produced some bronze hanger brackets to hold a shaft.
The Task
His first task was to cut the bronze circular hollow to the correct length then split it in half, following on from that, the bronze was then milled out using our CNC turret mill and the surfaces smoothed off using the fly cutter, the next process was to round of the bronze in CNC lathe and cut it to size, an internal was groove cut in. The edges were rounded off, externally then internally. Once completed holes were drilled and threaded so the two halves could be held together with cap screws.
