Diesel Fuel Tank

The job

This project involved fabricating and welding together a diesel fuel tank to replace an old tank. Using our guillotine, the mild steel was cut to size. Once the steel was cut, certain parts of the tank had to be rounded, this was achieved by placing the steel into our break press and bending the steel to the desired curvature. In addition baffles were added to the inside of the tank to stop instability of the fuel moving around. Furthermore the tank was grey primed to protect from corrosion.
