Balcony and Railing
by
The brief
SWP was asked to design, fabricate and install a balcony and railing for a converted church in the Scottish Borders.
The job
Once the drawing had been completed, the workshop staff set about cutting the steel to size. The steel work was then welded and fabricated to the desired specification, holes were drilled to be able to attach the railing. The railing spindles were welded to the bottom and top rail. Once all of the individual components were complete, the steel work was primed and painted in the final black colour. The balcony was then transported to the site and our engineers installed it into its final position.
